About me

I am a performer, but specifically a dancer first. My mom always tells me about the time she left me at my aunt’s house as a toddler, and I came back “meneando las caderas” which is Spanish for moving my hips. I was born in Cuba, and we immigrated to the states, by boat (designed and built by my father, and a neighbor)- when I was two years old. Not before getting rescued by the coast guard during a storm and ending up in Guantanamo Bay, more on that later cause I need to ask my mom lol. Along with dancing I love to sing, improvise, act, and just generally be a silly person. I love that being a performer gives me room to be a full human expressing the full spectrum of emotions and archetypes. In my life time I have gone by many names, but as of now you can call me lavendragon, short for lavender dragon.
